Oil-tea Camellia Cultivars in China, p.337. Bred by Hunan Academy of Forestry in 1990, passed the identification in 2007 by Hunan Academy of Forestry registration, and listed as national excellent cultivar, the Certification Number: Xiang S0702-co2. Crown rotund. Leaves elliptic, apex acuminate, margins serrate or crenate, 4.5-6.5 cm long, 2.5-3.2 cm wide, glabrous. Flowering early season, usually in mid-October to late December, white, diameter 4.5-6.5 cm, petals 8-9, obcordate. Fruit mature in late October, spherical, reddish green or yellowish green, diameter 30-38 mm, 15-30 among of fruit weighted 500g, loci 3-4. Average 42%-46% seed weight in each fresh fruit. The average rate of oil reached 31%-37% from dry seeds, and 8.1%-8.6% from fresh fruit. Average oil yield 634.65kg/hm2.

油茶无性系8，陈永忠主编，2008年，《油茶优良种质资源》第 46 页。【培育单位】湖南省林业科学院，【选育年份】1990，【审定年份】2007，【良种号】湘S0702-CO2。由湖南省林业科学院于1990年选育出来的优良无性系。树冠自然圆头形；叶椭圆形，较细长，边缘有细锯齿或钝齿，先端渐尖，长4.5～6.5cm，宽2.5～3.2cm左右，叶面光滑；花期稍早，湖南通常于10月中下旬至12月中下旬开花，花白色，直径4.5～6.5cm，花瓣倒心形，8～9瓣；果实成熟期10月中下旬，果实球，有棱，青黄或青红色，果径30～39mm，每500g果数15～30个，心室3～4个，鲜出籽率42%～46%，籽大小335.9个/ 500g，干籽含油率31%～37％，果油率8.1%～8.6%。每公顷产油为575.84kg，比参试无性系平均值增产55.7％，油质优。
