Flower over 10.8 cm, across, cherry-red, sometimes darker and dull; anemone form, similar to ‘Waratah Alba’ (Anemoniflora Alba) only larger and flatter; petals of the circumference are in 4 rows, broad, round-oval, regularly placed but unequal in size, very notched; the centre is a hemi­sphere composed of variable petals. short, very numerous, collected together. Originated in England. Synonyms: ‘Sericea Vera’, ‘Puquella’. Orthographic errors: ‘Serica’, ‘Cericea’, ‘Serica Vera’.
