[Variety number] Non-major crop variety registration number: GPD Tea Tree (2019)430031. former Hunan Provincial Crop Variety Validation Committee Non-major Crop Variety Registration Number: XPD008-2012, formerly known as 'Xiaoxianghong 21-3'. [Variety origin] Tea Research Institute of Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Hunan Province, selected from 'Jianghua Kucha'. [Characteristics] Small tree type, medium species, strong growth, half open posture, medium leaf type, leaf length 11.0 cm, width 4.0 cm, long elliptic, leaf insertion state is slightly upward slanting, soft leaves, buds and leaves velvet hairs less, the tip of the leaf is acuminate. In Changsha area spring tea bud one leaf period in late March or early April, the new buds and leaves yellowish-green, less hairy, bud number type, a bud of three leaves 7.6 centimeters long, one hundred bud weight 44.8 grams. Spring tea bud two leaves biochemical samples containing tea polyphenols 32.3%, amino acids 3.1%, caffeine 5.5%, water leachate 44.4%. Suitable for black tea.
