[Variety Number] Non-major Crop Variety Registration No. GPD Tea Tree (2022)430034. [Source of Variety] The Tea Research Institute of Hunan Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences used 'Zhuyeqi' as the mother and 'Yabukita' as the father, and adopted the method of cross breeding to produce this variety. [Characteristics and properties] Shrubby, medium-leaved, medium-growing, strong growth potential, half-open posture, medium branching part, medium branching density. Leaf blade length 11.8 centimeters, width 4.5 centimeters, leaf blade attachment state slightly upward slanting, leaf blade shape long oval, leaf tip acuminate. The bud and two leaves period is generally in early April. The bloom period is from mid-October to mid-November every year. The length of one bud and three leaves is 6.7 centimeters, and the weight of one bud and three leaves is 63.1 grams. The biochemical sample of one bud and two leaves in spring contains 20.3% of tea polyphenols, 5.2% of amino acids, 4.1% of caffeine, and 36.7% of water leachate. Suitable for green tea and black tea.
