American Camellia Yearbook, 1960, p.196, Reg. No.465: A 9 year old chance seedling, originated by Mrs W.J. Beasley, South Carolina, USA, that first bloomed 1954. Plant growth habit is slightly pendulous, open and rapid. The light green leaves average 11 cm x 4 cm. The bright pink, rose form double flowers, 10 cm across x 6 cm deep, similar to General George Patton, have 24-26 petals in three layers and 3-6 petaloids mingled with yellow sta­mens. Flowers early to mid-season.
