Mister Bob (C. japonica).  published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 95. Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3234. A 11 year old chance seedling of ‘Edna Campbell’, first bloomed in 2012. It was registered by Patrick Andrews from 950 NE 189th Lane Citra, FL, USA, and was originated by Clarence and Lillian Gordy from Ocala, Florida, USA. Flowers anemone form, mix of red, dark red and purple, Filament white with yellow anthers. Flower size medium to large, 9.5-10.2 cm in diameter, 5.7 in depth. Profuse bloomer, falls in one piece, long lasting, with heavy petal texture. Leaves medium green with low serration, 8.9 cm long, 5.1 cm wide. Plant growth rate average, upright form with medium density. Blooming season early to midseason. Judge Randolph Maphis:” Well formed anemone with unique color that is very appealing; we need more darker reds”. Judge Ben George: “Unique mix of red, dark red, and purple petals and petaloids. Very appealing”.
