ACS Registration #2999. The Camellia Journal,71(3):29 with name and color photo. American Camellia Yearbook, 2016, p. 131 with color photo and description. This 12-year-old C. japonica chance seedling of ‘Tinsie’ first bloomed in 2010. It was originated, registered and propagated by Pat B. Johnson of Cairo, Georgia, USA. Bloom: The miniature sized 6.3cm x 3.8cm single form flower is red with a satin sheen. It has yellow anthers and pink filaments. The blooms fall in one piece with consistent form. Plant: The plant habit is upright and open. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping use. Leaf: The medium green leaves have low serration and average 6.35cm x 2.54cm. Bloom season: Early to late.
