Ruby Lips (C. japonica). published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 96. Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3236. A chance seedling-- Parents Unknow, first bloomed in 2012. It was registered and originated by Pat B. Johnson from Cairo, Georgia, USA. Flowers single with six petals, small, 7.6 cm in diameter, 3.8 cm in depth, petals ruby red with white picotee border, anthers gold, filaments cream. Leaves medium green, 7.6 cm long, 3.2 cm wide. Plant upright, open growth. Bloom Season: Mmid-season to late. Note: from the flower it is very resemble to 'Tama-no-ura', possibly a synonym for ‘Tama-no-ura’.
