American Camellia Yearbook, 2000, p.7, colour photo p.c14, Reg. No.2540. A red with purple tint, anemone form chance seedling with 8 large petals and 84 smaller, yellow anthers and yellow filaments. Average flower size is 7.5 cm across x 5 cm deep. Originated by Elizabeth R. Scott, Aiken, S.C., USA. The 12 year old seedling first flowered in 1994. Plant is upright and dense with average growth. Flowers early to mid-season and is cold hardy. Dark green leaves are 8.2 cm long x 3.2 cm wide.
