Yunban Yanghong

Zhou Li, 2011, Illustrated Handbook for Sichuan Camellias, p.198.  A sport of ‘Yanghong’. Plant habit vigorous, open， abundant branches， with internodes medium to long, shoots most spreading upwards. Leaves green, glossy, dense, long elliptic, with wavy margins lightly reflexed, with apex apiculate, base obtuse, measured 8.5 cm to 9.5 cm in length by 3.5 cm to 4.5 cm in width, serrate shallowly and sparsely. Sepals are opening, Petals flat, 95 segments, imbricated regularly in rows, heavy texture. Inner petals incurved, central petals occasionally fully opening, cordate shaped, petals in outer rows reflexed. Flowers carmine with white cloudy stripes. Floral abundant, diameter 8 cm to 10 cm. Flowers January to March, at fully blooming in March.  Key points of identification: Very similar to variety 4Yanghong\ petals with white cloudy spots.

周利主编、2011《川茶品种图鉴》 p.198. 洋红芽变品种。树势开张，生长健壮，枝叶茂密，成枝力强，节间中长，枝条多向上斜伸；叶绿色，有光泽，长椭圆形，叶缘曲波状，略反卷，叶先端渐尖，基部宽楔形，叶长8.5cm-9.5cm，宽3.5cm-4.5cm,叶齿浅稀；花萼开张，平瓣花多轮95瓣，雄蕊完全退化，花瓣平展，瓣质厚实，排列整齐，内层花瓣略内凹，花心有时不完全开放，呈鸡心形，外数层花瓣反卷，花洋红色，花瓣上多有白色云斑，完全重瓣型，花朵稠密，花径8cm-10cm，花期1月〜3月，盛花期3月。 与洋红相似，花瓣上多白色云斑。原始产地：重庆
