[History] In the early Showa era, it was selected by Masajiro Koyama from Uji traditional tea garden owned by him, and was registered in 1954 after undergoing a candidate raw tree performance comparison test (strain comparison test) at the Kyoto Prefectural Tea Research Institute. It was The name comes from the place name "Kokura" of the selected place. The old strain name is "Koyama No. 78".

[Earlyness] A mesozoic species with a plucking period that is 3 days later than that of'Yabukita'.

[Morphological characteristics] Tree shape is intermediate to open type, tree vigor is slightly weak,

The stock tension is moderate. The new leaves are oval, size, thickness and luster are medium, green and slightly soft. The leaves are elliptical, slightly small, medium in thickness, green, slightly glossy and slightly wrinkled on the leaf surface, medium in leaf edge wave, slightly inwardly folded, and slightly inverted. The internode length of the shoots is a little short and the angle of landing is a little large.

[Cutting rooting] Inferior to'Yabukita'.

[Large tree tailoring method] The growth of branches is inferior to that of other naturally cultivated undercover tea varieties, so try to tailor the tree large.

[Goodness of initial growth] Medium.

[Yield] Medium • Inferior to “Ujihikari” due to “Yabukita”, “Sumidori”, “Asahi”

【特徴】宇治在来種から選抜された手摘み碾茶用品種。

【育成者】宇治市•小山政次郎，京都府立茶業研究所

【来歴】昭和初期に，小山政次郎により氏の所有する宇治在来種茶園から選抜され，京都府立茶業研究所において候補原樹性能比較試験(系統比較試験)を経て，1954年に育成登録された。名称は，選抜地の地名「小倉」に由来する。旧系統名は‘小山78号’。

【早晚性】摘採期は‘やぶきた’より3日程度遅い中生種。

【形態的特性】樹姿は中間〜開張型，樹勢はやや弱，

株張りは中程度である。新葉は，楕円，大きさ，厚さおよび光沢が中，緑，やや軟。成葉は，楕円，やや小，厚さが中，緑，光沢および葉面のしわがやや少，葉縁の波が中，内折度がやや小，反転度がやや大である。枝条の節間長はやや短，着葉角度がやや大である。

【挿し木発根性】中で‘やぶきた•より劣る。

【幼木の仕立て法】枝条の伸長が他の自然仕立て覆下茶用品種と比べて劣るので，樹を大きく仕立てるように心がける。

【初期生育の良否】中。

【収量性】中で•やぶきた’‘さみどり’‘あさひ’為‘うじひかり’などより劣る

【品質】碾茶として優良である。

【耐寒性】赤枯れ型寒害に対してやや強。

【耐病虫性】炭疽病に対して中

【栽培適地】選抜，育成地である京都府内の平坦な手摘み覆下茶栽培地域に適する。

【加工特性】玉露としても品質優良である。
